Atta cephalotes, or leaf cutter ants, have been going about their leaf cutting business but they’re also doing something seemingly altruistic. They’ve been giving their friends a free ride. Brenna and Janet have been really curious about the purpose of this mysterious hitchhiking behavior exhibited by leaf cutter ants. They set out to find answers by interviewing experts and researchers who are trying to understand the ant’s intentions.
